Sonia O'Sullivan is one of the greatest sporting figures Ireland has produced. This work tells the story of her life - from her childhood in Cobh, County Cork, through her early successes on the track, to the highs of 1995 and 2000 and the low of the 1996 Olympics.
Sonia O'Sullivan was born in Cobh, Co. Cork, in 1969. She won one World Championship gold medal and three European Championship gold medals on the track, as well as two World Cross-Country Championship golds. At the 2000 Olympics she took silver in the 5,000 metres.
