Sophie by Rushton Rosie
Sophie is 15 years old and lives in trendy Kensington with her scatty mum. Like many teenagers Sophie is very concerned about 'issues' such as homelessness, but her developing social conscience becomes more than anyone can take when her 'do-gooder' father returns from Africa. Sophie eventually discovers some difficult truths about her parents and gets to realise that life might be a bit more complicated than she first thought - finding a boyfriend along the way helps her sort things out of course!
Rosie Rushton worked as a feature writer for her local newspaper before becoming a freelance journalist with a special interest in teenage issues. She has contributed to Talk Radio UK and many national newspapers and women's magazines. Rosie lives in Northamptonshire.
