It'll be a miracle if Maka evensurvives, let alone manages to make Soul Eater into the Death Scythe.B.ICHI, Atsushi Ohkubo's first manga series, debuted in Square Enix's MONTHLY SHONEN GANGAN magazine. Following the completion of the series, he developed the idea for SOUL EATER, which began as a series of shorts in the same magazine and evolved into the long-running work that has garnered him international acclaim. He started working on a prequel series called SOUL EATER NOT! in 2011.
