A Sourcebook of the Bible for Teachers by Robert C Walton
'The volume, in its constitution and authorship, presents a balance between academic scholarship and practical educational expertise. For that reason, as well as for many others, it is a work of obvious weight and value, containing a vast amount of information, lucidly and attractively presented, which many teachers are sure to find most helpful to them in their work' (Church Times).ROBERT C. WALTON did his undergraduate work in the United States and after a year at Princeton Theological Seminary he transferred to Harvard Divity School. At the end of his first year there a German Government Scholarship enabled him to spend the next year studying history and theology at the Universities of Marburg and Gottingen. After three years graduate work in history at Yale University and further study in Europe, this time at the University of Zurich, he received his M.A. and Ph.D . from Yale. From 1961 to 1964 Professor Walton taught history at Duke University and is at present Assistant Professor in the Department of History, University of British Columbia.
