The material in Folens "Primary Spanish" follows the QCA guidelines. Whilst not mandatory, the DfES are encouraging Primary schools to teach MFL at KS1 and 2. Approximately half of English Primary schools now teach a modern language either in lessons (a third), lunch time or within after-school clubs.
