Henry Purcell MB, PhD, is Senior Fellow in Cardiology at The Royal Brompton Hospital in London. He lectures widely and has published many peer-reviewed research papers and abstracts. He was a member of the British Cardiac Society Working Group producing guidelines on management of patients with acute coronary syndromes without peristent ECG ST segment elevation (2001). He is co-editor of the British Journal of Cardiology and on several editorial boards and has co-edited the text Specialist Training in Cardiology, published by Elsevier/Mosby. He is also a reviewer for many international journals in cardiovascular medicine.
