Marc has motivated and inspired poets to reject the assumption that poetry is just for the high-minded by founding the Uptown Poetry Slam and numerous poetry groups and ensembles such as the Pong Unit One, the Bob Shakespeare Band, Neutral Turf's Chicago Poetry Festival, and the Poetic Theatre Project. Marc, the author of Crowdpleasers, has performed poetry in front of over a hundred thousand people during his sixteen-year weekly engagement at Chicago's Green Mill Bar. He is based in Chicago.
