He has been employed within the sportsturf and amenity horticulture indsutries for over twenty-eight years and is a researcher, a consultant, a regular contributor to the trade press, and a frequent speaker at events and conferences. Stewart is author of Sports Turf & Amenity Grassland Management [Crowood 2005], is a Fellow of both the Institute of Groundmanship and the Higher Education Academy, and is a member of the Institute of Learning.
