Stafford Cripps' political career started late, but at the age of 40, even before he had secured a parliamentary seat, he joined the Labour cabinet. Later, in 1947 he became Chancellor of the Exchequer. This book explores his political career, his communist sympathies and conservative tastes.Chris Bryant became the in-house culinary expert during his time as Senior Art Director at Lark Books. Lark's food titles, such as Cake Ladies, A Year of Pies, and the Handmade Living series, benefited from his understanding of cooking and culinary trends. Chris is a culinary and photo stylist as well as a recipe creator. He is a member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, Slow Food USA, and the Piedmont Culinary Historians. Chris is working on his own food blog, extraslaw.com, which he plans to launch in September 2014. He resides in Asheville, North Carolina.
