Kenny Ruiz is a professional manga artist from Spain and is one of the few international manga artists creating manga for Japan. In 2018–2019, Kenny’s short stories were published in Japanese manga magazine Tezucomi (Micro Magazine Publishing) and he gained recognition from manga publishers for his quality work. He debuted his own manga series, Team Phoenix, an alternate universe of Osamu Tezuka’s world of characters, with support from the Tezuka estate. As a lifelong Star Wars fan, Star Wars: The Path of the Lightsaber is a story he has long imagined.
