Start Quilting by Celia Eddy
Quilting is becoming ever more popular as an enjoyable and therapeutic hobby, but many quilters, beginners and more advanced, feel that they have missed some of the basic skills along the way, or find that they have become entrenched in one type of quilting and don't know how to attempt new styles. This A-Z aims to overcome these problems by providing a comprehensive rounding in all the skills, types and techniques you could ever need. Once you have mastered these, following published patterns or designing your own unique quilts should be easy and enjoyable.
Celia Eddy has been quilting for over twenty years. She has been writing, editing and lecturing on quilts for many years, and has undertaken research into the history of patchwork and quilting in both Britain and America. She runs Quiltstory, the only UK on-line quilting magazine). She is Acting Heritage Officer of the Quilter's Guild of the British Isles and co-ordinator of The British Quilt Study group, for which she also runs a website (www.quiltstudy.org.uk). She is also a member of the American Quilt Study Group.
