He became a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina's Bush Center for Child and Family Policy after investigating cognitive style.
He's the author of Sage's Statistics for People Who Hate Statistics, Sage's Theories of Human Development, and Pearson's Understanding Research. He has edited various encyclopedias, including the Encyclopedia of Human Development, the Encyclopedia of Measurement and Statistics, and the Encyclopedia of Research Design, which was just published. He resides in Lawrence, Kansas, where he enjoys reading, swimming with the River City Sharks, baking brownies, and poking around old Volvos and old houses.
