JOE NICK PATOSKI is the author of Willie Nelson: An Epic Life, Generations on the Land: A Conservation Legacy, The Dallas Cowboys: The Outrageous History of America's Largest, Loudest, Most Hated, Best Loved Football Team, and other books, as well as the director of Sir Doug and the Authentic Texas Cosmic Groove, a documentary film on Texas musician Doug Sahm, which premiered at the 2015 South by Southwestern Film Festival. Patoski presently lives in Wimberley, Texas, after twenty-two years in Austin.
