Since
obtaining her degree in Fashion and Textiles from Sir John Moores University, Alison Reid went on to run her own company selling hand-dyed and hand-stitched braids
in 1993, and has sold to fashion houses such as Marc Jacobs, Etro and Taka
Shimaya in New York. She is also a talented illustrator and has had her work
featured in Selvedge magazine. Alison has also written articles for a number of textiles publications including Elle
Decoration, Homes and Gardens and The
World of Interiors. She is also author of
the book, Learn to Sew.
