The youth decided enough is enough. They stood up to demand the freedom they knew they deserved. A riot was sparked. A civil rights movement was launched.

Since 2001, Olivia has taught hundreds of preschool through 12th grade students, trained thousands of professionals, and provided extensive services to San Francisco, Alameda, and Oakland Unified School Districts. In 2013, Olivia founded Queerly Elementary to meet the growing demand for her services. Olivia wrote Stonewall: Our March Continues so young people can learn about this historic civil rights event and, perhaps, even inspire a few readers to advocate for a social justice cause dear to them. Olivia lives in California with her wife, their two children, and their very spoiled dog, Ozzy.
