Drye, Willie: - Author and award-winning journalist Willie Drye is a contributing editor for National Geographic News. He is a sixth-generation North Carolinian, a US Army veteran, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For Plymouth and Washington County, Drye collected photographs from the North Carolina State Archives and other public and private sources to tell the colorful story of this historic maritime community. The book features many images that have never been published.
