Lion Monkey Emu Panda and Polar Bear live in a zoo. When Lion receives a postcard from Africa it reminds him of home and suddenly all the animals feel homesick. Luckily Monkey has really long arms and reaches the zoo keys to unlock the gates. The five friends escape and return to their native habitats.
Caroline Binch studied graphic design at Salford Technical College. She is best known for writing and illustrating Amazing Grace, which won the Children's Book of the Year in 1992 and was short-listed for the 1992 Kate Greenaway Medal. In 1993 her illustrations for Hue Boy, written by Rita Phillips Mitchell, won the Smarties Prize. Caroline currently lives in Cornwall. Kate Banks has written a number of successful picture books including And If The Moon Could Talk which won the Boston Globe Horn Book - Most Distinguished Picture book of the Year. Baboon was voted Best Picture Book of the Year by Parents Magazine. Kate Banks lives in Monaco. Illustrator, Karin Littlewood, lives in London. Ann Cartwright studied art and design, and now writes whilst raising her family. Going Home is her seventh book for children. Ann lives in Leicestershire with her husband and illustrator, Reg Cartwright.
