This is the first study skills book written directly for students on degree courses in the humanities and social sciences. It is intended to help students make their studying more systematic and efficient and the primary focus is on subjects where essay-writing forms the basis of student work and course assessment.
Patrick is a member of the Academy of the Social Sciences, London. He has authored numerous books and academic articles in political science, including co-authoring Theories of the Democratic State. He is currently general editor of five major LSE blogs, and he co-directs the Democratic Audit of the UK. Patrick is author of Authoring a PhD.
