The style is fantasticA welcome change to some of the other publications on the market. It meets the needs of all types of learners. It is logical and well written. Differentiation is evident in the way the book has been laid out and the contents within the book. It's really colourful and grabs the reader's interest especially in the way it has been written. The strength of the book is that it is evidence of good practice which can clearly support learning and make that memorable. Compared to other publications on the market this should be a good seller as it is an excellent resource... Other subjects such as RE, History, Citizenship should be produced in this format. Peter Covington is ex- Head of Post 16 and Sociology at Whitley Abbey Community School , Coventry. In recent OFSTED inspections, his department was rated as 'very good' and recently, his students have had a 100% pass rate at AS and A2 level. The school, placed low down the league tables with less than 30% of students obtaining grades A*-C, has prepared him well to target the average and below-average student. Peter has also written extensively for the online resource Sociology Central and for his own students. In addition we have Mike Moores as consultant / advisor on the project.
