Jan Ormerod sadly died earlier this year. Her first picture book was Sunshine which won the Mother Goose Award in 1982 and was voted the Picture Book of the Year 1982 by the Children's Book Council of Australia and was highly commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Moonlight, also published by Frances Lincoln, is the companion title.
