Having got through to year 4 with my eldest who does not want to put any effort into reading this
was a godsend - she had to read the text and sound out the words in order for the rhyming to
make sense of the story. Even my 5 year-olds were taken with the story and enthusiastic enough
to want to try out unknown words.
