Surgery of Coronary Artery Disease, 2E by David Wheatley
Describes present practice of the surgical management of coronary artery disease in the context of knowledge of the presentation and natural history of the condition, and available medical therapies. This text discusses symptomatic and survival outcome, and includes the recommendations for postoperative risk modification.
The whole of coronary artery surgery is covered, from patient selection.. through to selection of conduits and choices of cardioplegia solutions. All of these issues are dealt with in a concise, up-to-date manner. I very much enjoyed the book and would happily recommend it to other cardiac surgical trainees.
