In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in the number of women entering the surveying profession. Tracing the history of surveying in the UK, this study also examines the presence and influence of women in the field, and looks at future prospects for women surveyors.
Clara Greed is Emerita Professor of Inclusive Urban Planning at the University of the West of England, (UWE), UK, and a chartered town planner. Her research interests and other published books centre on urban design, planning, the built environment professions, women and planning issues and the social aspects of cities.
