Denys Skinner was born in 1933 and educated at Judd School, Tonbridge. After first working as a surveyor for the Ordnance Survey and then in the travel industry, he moved to West Sussex in 1970. At heart an outdoor man, top of his list of leisure interests are walking and investigating the attractions of rural Britain. He has also written 100 Walks in West Sussex for Crowood.
