The Sweetest Lollipop Lady in the World by Elizabeth Cummings

This is Audrey. Audrey is a dear friend. Audrey is also probably the sweetest lollipop lady in the world How do I know this? It's obvious You can just tell If you drive past her crossing you'll see her rain or shine, wind or hail out of there on the street with the lollipop sign. With her beautiful smile, her kindness and a little sprinkle of magic, Audrey keeps everyone safe; you can read all about it in this book; The Sweetest Lollipop Lady in the World.

This story is the first in a series of picture books for children. The Verityville series is a collection of individual stand alone tales that celebrate the goodness in others. Taking a different character each time the Verityville collection hopes to brings joy to all who read about the people of the town and how each person seeks to good in their own special way.

Written from the perspective of a young child the stories all find a new way of expressing the wonder and innocence of childhood as well as giving the reader an insight into the how life can be understood from another angle. These books are a great way of raising social concepts such as environmental, road safety and social justice issues with children from an early age. Perfect as a tool in the classroom or simply to read for enjoyment, Audrey the lollipop lady and her fellow characters will entertain, educate and delight you with their tales.
