Tao of Photography by Tom Ang

Using Tao concepts, this text aims to breathe life into the photographic manual by enabling the reader to integrate their natural creativity with their technical knowledge. It covers the basic grounding in technical matters as well as concepts and practicalities of creativity.

Tom Ang has worked as a technical editor, editor, and picture editor on several magazines. His own photography both digital and film has been internationally exhibited. He is a regular contributor to magazines such as MacUser, What Digital Camera and Ag Photographic. Tom won the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award for his photography of the Marco Polo Expedition and he is a specialist on Central Asia. He is the author of Picture Editing (Focal Press), Silver Pixels, Dictionary of Photography and Digital Imaging (Argentum), and Digital Photography and Tao of Photography (Mitchell Beazley). Tom is Senior Lecturer in Photographic Practice at the University of Westminster, London.
