Teach On tells the tale of what it is actually like to teach real life kids. The author's slant on teaching is told through her personal journey spanning over three decades. It tackles various aspects of a teacher's life and is punctuated with funny, crazy and downright bizarre anecdotes. Sprinkled with dubious 'advice' regarding subjects such as first impressions, classroom supplies to avoid, reaching all kids with flawless teaching, eccentric characters, excursions, how to write report comments in teacher code, deciphering kindergarten spelling, as well as dealing with annoying habits, challenging behaviours and major meltdowns.

Part memoir, part political commentary, but written like a humorous tongue-in-cheek manual, it is not meant to be a textbook. Nor are any of the reality-check stories meant to scare anybody off of this challenging and joyful profession. Whether the reader is currently a teacher, used to be a teacher, wants to be a teacher, is in a relationship with a teacher, or simply hopes to understand a teacher, this book is a playful look into the everyday reality of a teacher's chaotic world.
