Cristina Flesher Fominaya is co-Editor in Chief of Social Movement Studies, a Founding Editor of Interface Journal, and author of Social Movements and Globalization (2014). She is Reader in Social Politics and Media at Loughborough University, UK. She publishes widely on European and global social movements, hybrid parties, digital politics and media, collective identity, democracy, autonomy, and political participation.

Kevin Gillan is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Manchester, UK, and co-Editor in Chief of Social Movement Studies. His work focuses on the generation and communication of alternative conceptions of political economy within social movements. He is currently writing a book entitled How Capitalism Matters: Economy, Polity, Society.
