Teddybear Blue by Malachy Doyle

"Teddybear Blue" is always disappearing! His little owner wants to cuddle him but he's run off to play hide-and-seek, or he's in a cupboard, or he's in the park. Yet, however good or bad he may be, no toy compares to Teddybear Blue. With Malachy Doyle's lively rhyme and Christina Bretschneider's wonderfully vibrant illustrations, sing along with the 'disappearing teddybear blues', spotting Teddy's hiding places along the way.
A playful exuberance springs from the scenes, which portray very much a child-centred view of things; and young children love helping to spot the clusive ted hiding in each double spreadTES
Malachy Doyle is a highly successful author who has been shortlisted for the Lancashire Children's Book Award and the Angus Book Award. His previous titles for Frances Lincoln include Well a Crocodile Can and Babies like Me! Christina Bretschneider trained as an artist at the Kunstakademie in Dusseldorf and then went on to study and teach at the University of Osnabrueck. She left to become an illustrator, studying at Fachhock School in Hamburg and gaining a Masters in Design. Her previous books include two titles for Tivola Book Publishing in Germany, and Cockadoodlemoo (OUP).
