Kathy McCoy, Ph.D., is an award winning author of over a dozen books, many of them for or about teenagers. She is a psychotherapist in private practice in the Los Angeles area and also works at UCLA Medical Center.

Charles Wibbelsman, M.D., the award-winning author of four books and the former Dear Doctor columnist for TEEN Magazine, is a nationally prominent adolescent medicine specialist. In addition to serving as chairman of the chiefs of adolescent medicine for the Permanente Medical Group of Northern California, he is chief of the Teenage Clinic at Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco and is a clinical professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco Medical School.
He is also a member of the Committee on Adolescence for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also has served on the Board of the Society for Adolescent Medicine, on the San Francisco Superintendent of Schools Advisory Committee.
