Temari by Margaret Ludlow
A step-by-step introduction to the oriental craft of designing and making individual, embroidered, jewel-like, decorative balls. The Temari balls are made from a plastic bag filled with polyester wadding, cotton wool or old tights, covered with sewing thread and then decorated with Perle threads in various patterns. They are often finished with tassels and special Temari knots (with which to hand them) and placed in glass cases for permanent displays. In Japan, Temari balls are given to celebrate important events such as births and birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.| SKU | Unavailable |
