Robert Scholes, author of Structuralism in Literature and Semiotics and Interpretation among other books, is Alumni-Alumnae University Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Brown University.
Robert Scholes runs the Modernist Journals Project at Brown University, where he is a Research Professor of Modern Culture and Media. Semiotics and Interpretation, Textual Power, Protocols of Reading, The Rise and Fall of English, The Crafty Reader, Paradoxy of Modernism, Modernism in the Magazines, Fields of Writing, and Fields of Reading are among the books he has written or edited.
