Scotty Moore met Elvis Presley at Sun Studios, Memphis, in 1954, and became his guitarist for the next 14 years. Moore ran his own music studio in Nashville Music City Recorders studio, and has released many albums, including The Guitar That Changed The World!, All The King’s Men and A Tribute To The King. He was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2000, and has played with many of the greats of the guitar world, including Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Dave Gilmour.
Michael Heatley edited the acclaimed History of Rock partwork (1981–84). He is the author of over 50 music biographies, ranging from Bon Jovi to Rolf Harris, as well as books on sport and TV. He has penned liner notes to more than 100 CD reissues, and written for magazines including Music Week, Billboard, Goldmine and Radio Times.
