
Ball of Fire: Lucille Ball's Tumultuous Life and Comedy Art; Stardust Lost: The Triumph, Tragedy, and Mishugas of Jewish Theater in America; and Somebody: Marlon Brando's Reckless Life and Extraordinary Career are among Stefan Kanfer's publications. For more than two decades, he worked at Time as a writer and editor, and he was the magazine's first bylined film critic, a position he held from 1967 until 1972. He's also the key interviewer in the Academy Award-nominated documentary The Line King and the editor of The Essential Groucho, an anthology of Groucho Marx's comedy.
