The Regiment - Revised by Mowat Farley

Bethany and Jonathon's story continues on an emotionally and physically packed roller coaster ride. Bethany feels like she has made the biggest mistake of her life. Pregnant and alone, she cannot recover from setting Jonathon free. As much as she tries, she lives in a constant state of depression, causing her fragile state to become alarmingly critical. Back from his trip to China, fighting for the rights of children in the workplace, Jonathon learns Bethany is as miserable as he is. Immediately he boards his jet for Ohio to claim her. No longer willing to set her free, he will keep the promise he made to her and never let her go. After his attempted murder, danger escalates, coming at both of them as they try to plan for their future. Now that he has her back, how is he going to keep her safe? At every turn she fights his security and the paparazzi is constantly on their heels. Jonathon is having second thoughts about bringing her back into his life, that has become violent and unpredictable. Bethany, no longer a timid girl, has become a strong woman, capable of standing toe to toe with her alpha man. She will fight for what she believes and will protect her family, no holds barred. Their love is strong, but they will never find peace, until the people bent on their destruction are caught.
Farley Mowat was born in Belleville, Ontario, in 1921. He began writing upon his return from serving in World War II, and has since written 44 books. He spent much of his youth in Saskatoon, and has lived in Ontario, Cape Breton and Newfoundland, while travelling frequently to Canada's far north. Throughout, Mowat has remained a determined environmentalist, despairing at the ceaseless work of human cruelty. Yet his ability to capture the tragic comedy of human life on earth has made him a national treasure in Canada, and a beloved storyteller to readers around the world. His internationally celebrated books include People of the Deer, The Dog Who Wouldn't Be, A Whale for the Killing, and The Boat Who Wouldn't Float.
