The Treats Tree by Sarah Lucy

It's Big Squirrel's birthday, but Little Squirrel would rather play than help to get ready for the party. Then he discovers a magical treats tree, which is even more distracting! Will he learn to do the right thing? Written by Sarah Lucy, with adorable illustrations by Lucy Barnard, it's time to follow Little Squirrel as he learns a very important lesson in this touching tale of friendship, helping others and learning to share.
Former teacher Sarah Lucy has been scribbling words onto paper for as long as she can remember. Luckily for her, she now gets to scribble for a purpose, and to this day, still enjoys foraging through the worn notebooks of childhood poetry and stories that sparked her love of writing. After Lucy completed her art foundation course in Cheltenham and her illustration degree in Exeter, she worked at various publishing companies in London before becoming a freelance illustrator. She worked for many years with acrylic paint and pencils but has recently adapted her illustration style and now works digitally. As well as illustrating for others, she also writes and illustrates her own stories, quite often inspired by her two children!
