He holds a BS in physics from Cleveland State University and a PhD in physics, with an emphasis on condensed matter theory, from Ohio State University. He taught for eight years at Bradley University in Illinois, and for the past fifteen years at the University of North Florida. He has over thirty publications treating superconductivity, magnetic semiconductors, and physics history and education.
