She wrote and drew The Goldfish Yawned, which was named a Bank Street College Best Children's Book. She teaches illustration and cartooning at the State University of New York at Rockland, as well as at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She works from her house in the Hudson Valley's lower reaches, which she shares with her husband and daughter.
