There Goes Gravity by Lisa Robinson
Lisa Robinson has interviewed everyone from John Lennon to Bono to Patti Smith, Eminem to Lady Gaga to Jay-Z and Kanye West. She's talked nail polish with a 12-year-old Michael Jackson, hosted The Clash at Studio 54, and introduced Lou Reed to David Bowie over filet mignon in a Manhattan restaurant. She helped Elvis Costello and The Clash get their record deals and was there for the punk scene at CBGBs. She was on a private plane with the Rolling Stones during a storm and with Led Zepplin when their manager pulled out a gun. The story of rock and roll from the last 40 years.Lisa Robinson was born in Kampala, Uganda, to volunteers of the Peace Corps who later became world-traveling diplomats. When she was a child, her family moved frequently, so books became her best friends. She now works as a psychiatrist and writer. She holds an MFA in creative writing for young people from Lesley University. Pirates Don't Go to Kindergarten! is her debut picture book, and she has more books forthcoming, including Pippa's Night Parade, illustrated by Lucy Fleming. She lives in Massachusetts with her scientist husband, two daughters, and three cats. Learn more about the author at www.author-lisa-robinson.com.
