Neil Redfearn is a man dedicated to - some might say obsessed by - football. He's just about the last of the generation of players who began near the bottom, made it to the top and then moved back down the ladder again. Neil Redfearn was born in Dewsbury, West Yorks, in 1965. Forty years later, he is still playing professional football, with Scarborough of the Conference. His career journey began as an apprentice with Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest in 1981, and has taken him to a total of 14 different clubs - including Bolton, Crystal Palace, Barnsley, Charlton and Bradford - and close to a record number of senior appearances, at just under 1000.
