Thinking Riding by Molly Sivewright
The main purpose of the book is to give practical guidance to young and inexperienced instructors and to all thinking riders, of any age. The themes first examined in Book 1 are developed and expanded and there are illustrations throughout to complement the text information.
From earliest days and after the war, the author has been deeply involved in riding and instructing in the art of horsemanship. Both she and her three daughters have had the distinction to ride for their country in international competitions and have an impressive list of competition successes as have their pupils. She is now much in demand to run instructors' courses in many countries throughout the world. Molly Sivewright's own riding and instructing methods have been inspired and approved by the late Colonel V. D. S. Williams, and Colonel G. T. Hurrell; also General W. Viebig and Herr Hans Kuhse from Germany, Colonel Hans Handler from Vienna, Colonel G. Nyblaeus, Chairman of the F.E.I. Dressage Bureau and most of all by Major G. Boltenstern, the Olympic gold medallist and chief instructor of the Swedish Cavalry school.
