This Dark Road to Mercy by Wiley Cash
A heart-wrenching thriller that explores the nature of love, and the evil that threatens it. Easter Quillby: Wade disappeared on us when I was six, and I never saw him again until I turned twelve, after Mom was buried. Like he was on the day he stole me and my little sister. Bobby Pruitt: Wade took everything.
A terrific, moving and propulsive novel: Harper Lee by way of Elmore Leonard -- Jess Walter, New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Ruins
