Henry was born and raised in the country of South Africa. He had two hobbies in life: animation and writing, as well as an interest in Ancient Egypt. He obtained work as a staff artist/technical assistant at the Durban Natural History Museum after a series of career changes. His fascination in Ancient Egypt prompted him to pursue more research while working on the mummy exhibit. The plot for a historical fiction work emerged gradually.

He began writing the novel while commuting to and from work after another career change. In 2017, the final draft was done.
