Three Favourite Animal Stories by Jill Tomlinson
Don't Stop the Music celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love. For many in 1967, San Francisco offers freedom from parents, government and convention. But for Jonah and Otis it is a time of trial and reckoning. Uncle Sam wants to turn them into killing machines while the mean streets of the City offer little in the way of an alternative. Sonny Barger of the Hells Angels seeks Otis for the theft of an acid shipment. Papa Al, community liaison and local thug, searches for Jonah who is in possession of incriminating photos taken by Bill Graham. The boys flee the City to hide in the rural environs of west Sonoma County. They bounce from one small town to another, evading the close pursuit of Papa Al, the Hells Angels and Uncle Sam.
Jill Tomlinson Jill Tomlinson never intended to be a writer. She trained as an opera singer, and then decided to have a family whilst her voice matured. But illness intervened, and she had to find another outlet for her energies. She started on a journalism course, and by the third lesson decided she wanted to write for children. So she did! Jill Tomlinson’s animal stories are much-loved and have been best-selling children’s books for nearly four decades.
