The Tide Knot by Helen Dunmore

The world of Ingo is once again brought to life in Helen Dunmore's newest spellbinding sequel "The Tide Knot."

Praise for The Tide Knot:

"Intensely compelling… gorgeous" Amanda Craig, The Times

“Dunmore's graceful style is what makes the unbelievable believable…” The Independent on Sunday

“Like the ocean itself, this book is deep and strange and marvellous.” Nial MacMonagle, The Irish Times

“This is a wonderful fantasy story…” Jan Winter, Inis

Praise for `Ingo’:

`Those who have just returned from sea-side holidays will fall upon Helen Dunmore's beautiful, enthralling new novel with joy… The electric thrill of swimming with dolphins, of racing along currents and of leaving the world of reason and caution behind are described with glorious intensity… the lyrical writing and Dunmore's intense sympathy with and for all she describes make this a perfect book with which to wind up the summer holidays, or to recollect them.’ Amanda Craig, The Times

'She is an exceptional and versatile writer and writes with a restrained, sensual grace… This story adheres in the mind. I keep recollecting the immersion into a place where mermaids and mermen feel more real, less provisional than humans, and where, in order to live, you must stop breathing.' The Observer

`It's an enchanting, modern twist on the Hans Christian Andersen story of the little mermaid. This marine imagery gives the story a wonderful sprinkling of the nautical.’ Daily Telegraph

`Compellingly lyrical.’ Independent

`Don't read this if you don't have room for another favourite book on your bookshelves because this one will demand a place.’ www.writewords.org.uk
