Tilda Whirl by Julie Kraft

Introducing the topsy-turvy tale of Tilda Whirl. Inspired by author Julie Kraft's own mental health journey, this book explores the many feelings and fears of a girl named Tilda. Throughout this tale, Tilda struggles with swirling emotions that she keeps bottled up and hidden behind a smile. It isn't until she decides to open up and share her feelings, that she discovers she isn't alone, weird, or weak. It is Julie's greatest hope that Tilda's story will spark the most powerful of conversations- ones that make masks fall off and walls come down. Talking has the power to bring healing and offer hope. Everyone is like Tilda in some small way, and her story shows us all that we're more than okay

Kraft, Julie: - Julie Kraft is a Canadian author and mental health advocate devoted to spreading awareness and shattering stigma. Since her bipolar II diagnosis in 2010, Julie has come to a place of fully embracing her bipolar mind- she credits it with allowing her to live a vibrant and full life. Julie's first book, The Other Side of Me - memoir of a bipolar mind, was published in 2017. She has also contributed to publications for Psych Central, Psycom, and BP Hope magazine. As she continues to pour herself into advocacy work, it is Julie's greatest hope that her voice will open minds, change perceptions, and help others walking a similar path.
