Each story offers as individual account of the impact of Germany's Occupation of Guernsey during the Second World War. Interspersed with this interesting mixture of personal accounts is a selection of Occupation Recipes which were originally published in the Star Newspaper during the German Occupation. This engaging book adds a human voice to the history of Guernsey and in doing so highlights the determination and perseverance of the community.
Molly Bihet was born, and grew up, in Guernsey. She is a well-known local author and has written several books on Guernsey. She was just nine at the start of the Second World War. She now lives with her husband and has two daughters.
