Gary Gerani is a scriptwriter, author, film and television historian, and creator of children's products. He is most known for his role as a co-writer on the Stan Winston-directed horror classic Pumpkinhead, as well as his breakthrough nonfiction book Fantastic Television, published in 1977. Working for the renowned Topps Company, he has written numerous comic books and a record number of trading card sets. Dinosaurs Attack! is one of his comic novels. In collaboration with IDW Publishing, he established his own publishing house, Fantastic Press.
