In 1963, D.(David) Keith Mano received his summa cum laude from Columbia University. The next year, he worked as a Kellett Fellow in English at Clare College, Cambridge, and toured with the Marlowe Society of England as an actor. In 1964, he returned to America as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Columbia University. He toured with the National Shakespeare Company and appeared in various off-Broadway productions. Mano married Jo Margaret McArthur on August 3, 1964, and the couple had two children together before divorcing in 1979.
In 1979, Mano converted to Eastern Orthodoxy from the Anglican church. He died in New York City in 2016.
