"Trade Secrets" by Annie Ashworth
One of BBC2's conspicuous successes of the last four years has been the ten minute slot called Trade Secrets created and produced by Maverick Television. Each week seasoned professionals from key occupations give hints and tips developed through a lifetime of doing the job. Each tip uses material everyone has around the house and either saves money or costs nothing. The book will contain over 5000 hints and tips (an additional 2000 from the first edition). Each series of tips will come from an individual who will be mentioned and the book will be divided into subjects. There will be sixty line drawings in a second colour to illustrate entries as appropriate and a comprehensive cross-referenced index.

Katherine Lapworth worked at the BBC for six years as a Producer and Director in both radio and television before launching her own copywriting business. She is also a founder member of Maverick Media the sister company to Maverick Television, established to exploit all the print and video opportunities arising from Maverick's broadcast work. Alex Fraser worked for the BBC for ten years as a Producer, Director and as a Commissioning Editor. She joined Maverick Television to produce the first series of Trade Secrets and is now a director of the company where she produces documentaries and factual television for all the main broadcasters. Katherine Lapworth worked at the BBC for six years as a Producer and Director in both radio and television before launching her own copywriting business. She is also a founder member of Maverick Media the sister company to Maverick Television, established to exploit all the print and video opportunities arising from Maverick's broadcast work. Alexandra Fraser is a Company Director of Maverick TV and produced the continually popular Trade Secrets television programme. She is the co-author of a number of highly successful Trade Secrets books.
